Hosanna Christian Fellowship has a Music ministry that believe that music is a door to your inner soul, we worship because it gives us the desire to Praise our Lord and Savior Jesus.
Worship begins in the heart of the believer, not on the platform or a guitar. Only then can it be expressed outwardly. A worship leader should have a lifestyle of worship before God, since worship is private before it is public. It is impossible for us to lead others in worship if we are not ourselves worshipers. If we donít know Godís presence in our daily lives, we are less effective in finding His presence, much less leading others to it.
Yet music is a powerful tool in expressing our worship. It colors, flavors and gives language to the worship that takes place in the heart. Musical skill helps facilitate the worship expressions of others and minimize distractions.
Why are musical insturments part of the worship service?
"Praise Him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him upon the loud cymbal: Praise Him upon high sounding cymbals" Psalm 150:4-5
"Give thanks to the Lord with the Lyre; Sing praises to Him with a harp of tenstrings." Psalm 33:2
In the story of the prodigal son as the father began to celebrate the return of his prodigal son, “Now his older son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing." Luke 15:25
Why do we stand when we worship?
And the Levites, of the Kohathites and the Korahites, stood up to praise the LORD, the God of Israel, with a very loud voice. II Chronicles 20:19
Why do we clap our hands?
“For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands." Isaiah 55:12
Why do we lift their hands?
We feel that when we raise our hands we are in effect, surrendering wholly and completely to God on High. When we humble ourselves it is then that we can receive what God has for us.
I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling; 1 Timothy 2:8
